Very large private cinemas
10,000 lumens provides meaningful headroom for large acoustically transparent screens and ambitious HDR targets.
VPL-GTZ380 is Sony’s 10,000-lumen native-4K SXRD flagship for large, high-performance private cinemas, combining three 0.74-inch 4K panels, a three-channel laser light source and full DCI-P3 colour coverage.
Specialist Reference
At 10,000 lumens, GTZ380 can support image sizes and on-screen luminance targets well beyond the BRAVIA Projector 7/8/9 family while retaining Sony’s native-4K SXRD approach.
Its optional short- and standard-throw powered lenses, 4096 × 2160 native panels and full DCI-P3 coverage make it a system-design projector: room geometry, screen size, cooling and signal architecture should be decided with the projector rather than after it.
10,000 lumens provides meaningful headroom for large acoustically transparent screens and ambitious HDR targets.
The GTZ380 can be relevant where a conventional residential projector simply cannot maintain the required luminance across the chosen image area.
It accepts 3840 × 2160 and 4096 × 2160 signals up to 120p, making signal-chain bandwidth an important part of system design.
The GTZ380 uses a powered projection lens system and is intended for professionally engineered installations. Verify throw, shift, image size, service clearances and final lens configuration against Sony project documentation.
Specifications are based on manufacturer-published information available at launch preparation. Options can vary by firmware, lens, configuration and region. Always verify final project data before ordering.
