WHY IT EXISTS
It combines a 4,500-lumen RGB laser engine, 98% Rec.2020 coverage and an extensive interchangeable-lens family in a chassis designed for specialist installation.
Heimdall is a compact native-4K RGB-laser Barco Residential projector that moves the conversation from conventional laser-phosphor projection into wide-gamut, cinema-focused RGB laser.
At this level, the projector is one component of a complete optical system: screen, lens, throw, room surfaces, processing, cooling and calibration all matter.
Our role is to interpret the specification in the context of the room rather than treat a single headline number as the answer.
IDEAL APPLICATION
Where this projector makes sense.
Wide-gamut HDR systems
Specified against screen size, room reflectivity, throw and target luminance.
Projects where projector placement is constrained
Specified against screen size, room reflectivity, throw and target luminance.
PROJECTION OPTICS
The lens determines what is physically possible.
Heimdall can use lens options from approximately 0.53:1 through 4.05:1. Several FLDX/FLD+ options use the York lens adaptor, so the optical package should be specified with the projector rather than treated as an accessory after the fact.
